Let's take a trip down memory lane and look at fashion and lifestyle from the past! We are showcasing vintage pieces from decades you may know and love. Everyone has had a windbreaker at some point in their life. It was almost a rite of passage for every teen and young adult to have colorful and geometric clothing in the 80's and 90's. If you couldn't be Kelly from Saved by the Bell, at least you could dress like her, and a patterned jacket was a must. This trend died out in the 2000's, but has since come back with a vengeance, much to the dismay of embarrassed adults who had hoped that their nylon nightmare had been left in the past. Modern fashion, especially for men, consists of muted colors like beiges and browns (thanks, Kanye), so it seems strange that these neon accessories have had a revival amongst the youth. But trust me, these jackets are so cool. If there's any way to spice up your outfit and take it to the next level, a windbreaker is totally the way to go. It's fun to be able to play around with colors and fabrics in such a bold way. This vintage windbreaker is absolutely fabulous! It is turquoise with mauve and geometric patches. The fabric has this marvelous sheen to it that plays with the light beautifully. Even with the age that comes with vintage clothing, the colors are so vibrant, but not too overwhelming. This windbreaker would look fantastic with a white t-shirt or a pair of distressed denim shorts. The best part is that the design allows it to be wearable in different conditions. You could wear it over a crop top or turtleneck, so you definitely get your money's worth. Buying from a vintage shop is also much easier on the budget. Companies try to sell windbreakers for hundreds of dollars (I wish I was kidding), but buying vintage more reasonable and often have the same, if not better quality than their expensive counterparts. You also can't replicate the authenticity of a real 90's windbreaker! Interzone Vntg offers an enormous range of both original and reworked vintage clothing. If you're not ready to rock a shiny neon piece of clothing in public just yet, they have many other jackets and parkas you could choose from! It is not only bold 80's and 90's style that has made a comeback, but smart style from the 60's has also made a revival. Long coats, plaid skirts, shapeless shifts, colorful socks, wire framed glasses, and chunky heels are absolute favorites amongst the street fashion world. What's so great about this style is that anyone of any age can partake in the fun! I've seen teenagers rock the pleated skirts and mature women show everyone how it's done with their head to toe vintage looks. Fall colors like mustard yellow and burgundy, favorites of the era, have found their way back into the modern wardrobe. There are many ways that these retro clothes have been altered to better suit modern trends and silhouettes, like shorter hemlines and oversized tops, but adding something authentic to the era you're trying to replicate upgrades the look. What better accessory to add to your cool retro outfit than an awesome vintage purse? This stylish handbag, sold by Pacific North Rust, is so cute with its brown leather body and brass fixtures. Its style is so classic and it would make any outfit look smart. This purse would have definitely donned the arm of the likes of Jackie O. and Twiggy. It has three separate zipper pockets to help keep you organized. It's functional and cute! A frame purse like this isn't seen too often at such an amazing price! The shape is old school, but being old school doesn't always mean being unfashionable. This purse is meant for the person who is confident but isn't too keen on standing out too much. They fearlessly embrace their style and are proud to show it. There's something special about taking a photo on an instant camera. Maybe it's because you only have one shot to take the picture right. Maybe it's the ability to be able to catch the "spur of the moment". Maybe you get nostalgic thinking about the days before digital. Maybe it's the fact that not every picture comes out right, and all you're left with is a funny memory that is immortalized on a piece of film. Whatever memories you link to instant cameras, there's no denying that you're probably fond of them. Of all the comebacks mentioned, none have made as big of a comeback as this one. A smaller instant camera that came in many cute colors came out, and kids and teens everywhere were, to put it frankly, obsessed. Everyone had one, and if you didn't have one, you could borrow a friend's and use the film you bought at your local super market. These little pictures adorned every surface of every teenager's room. If you love instant cameras, but don't really want to walk around with a pastel pink camera (that doesn't come with a shoulder strap), this vintage Polaroid camera might be just what you need. The Polaroid 600 instant camera is considered a classic instant camera. It features a fixed focus lens, automatic flash override, and a light and dark slider. Another great feature is that it can take imaged as close as two feet away. It strength lies in its simplicity. Everyone can use it without complicated dials and buttons. One of the biggest concerns with buying vintage instant cameras is the fear that the film is no longer in production. Lucky for you, the film for this camera is still being sold and comes in many colors and designs! Sold by Greater Northern Goods At first glance, these chairs may look like regular old mid-century modern chairs. While they definitely are exactly that, it's where they are from that makes these so interesting. These Ranch Oak seats are from the Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel and Cabins located in Yellowstone National Park Services. They were custom ordered from Brandt Furniture Co. in the 1950's. They've been at the lodge for the past 60 years and are now in need of a new home. These side chairs are an awesome combination of mid-century modern and log cabin couture. They come in six awesome earthy colors, so you could mix and match complementary colors for a fun look. Mid-century decor is so cool and has also had an upsurge of public interest as of late. Adding bits and pieces of this style would make your home feel fashionable and up to date. These would fit wonderfully into your office or lounging area, especially if you prefer the vintage or retro style. The textured vinyl and faux leather are in unbelievable condition for their age. They are still as vibrant as the day they came into the park. Pair one of these with a funky side table or a bold pillow and watch it liven up any space in your home. They are a real conversation starter. Mainstreet Mercantile have other awesome vintage furnishings in their shop, so if the 50's aren't your cup of tea, another piece of history will surely catch your eye.
