Wedding bells are all around and tradition calls for formally inviting a flower girl to attend. Kona Mali Creations is an Etsy girls boutique carrying a mix of fabulous flower girl dresses and accessories, along with theatre tutu's for that darling dancer. Each piece is carefully handmade by Donna Bollmann of New York. Kona Mali is a Hawaiian translation of Bollmann's very own name and she is quite a visionary. Bollmann opened her shop in September 2013 and ever since has built a large audience and customer base. Her little girl dresses are clearly classy and appear to be directly out of the Great Gatsby or The Unfinished Dance.
Bollmann shares a few wonderful words..."Tutu, headpieces, and theatre have long been a part of my life. As a former ballet dancer, I live to wear tutus and beautiful headpieces. Now as a stay at home mother of three prima ballerinas and one handsome little boy, they have inspired me to create timeless children clothing and accessories. I first started making "tied" tutus made of strips of tulle on elastic for my two prima ballerinas for the everyday ballet class. Then pursuing sewing classes, I started making my princesses some dresses. Hence, the more I had learned about sewing techniques, the more my abilities and ideas expanded."
One of Bollmann's biggest challenges of maintaining her shop is having the time to implement the many ideas she envisions. At Etsynch, we highly admire a mom of three and surely love her frocks and accessories. Her designs are fashionable for any type of celebration and below are just a few precious pieces. Do take some time to see more at Kona Mali Etsy shop as we imagine you will adore her shop too!
